If an AC mains supply is provided, the ROYCE computer's 650VA–2000VA battery-operated power backup sends the AC mains supply straight to the output load. It only uses an inverter in the event of a power outage, switching over in a matter of milliseconds to provide power to the load until the mains supply resumes.
